Ohio Attendance

Bottom line Syracuse is a bad sports town. Look at basketball the attendance is down 30 percent...because they are not winning lately. The problem with bad fans is if the team starts to win 7 games a year they will be bored with that and make an excuse about not winning 9. If i cant make a game for whatever rare reason i will not be giving my tickets to anyone who never goes to games. Empty seat or donation to local charity they go to.

We're #2 in Hoops average attendance last season.

We're #1 in LAX average attendance.

Must be a lot more good fans than bad fans.

That’s a big block of tickets, I think when all is said and done it’s going to be a little better then expected on Saturday ( expected here amongst our perpetual glass half empty crowd )

Yeah, he did also mention their total student allotment increased by 500 seats due to moving the section. That end of the Dome is going to be deafening when full!

My count was closer to 6000 empty seats when you factor in the missing rows.

Now knowing the student count is somewhere between 5-6k? that puts us at worst in the 36K range an 85%or so.

We have a close friend whose son is in his 2nd year. There is what seems like, more enthusiasm from the students for football than there has been in the past.

Lax attendance is actually really good, its #1 for the entire country. Days of getting 15-18K for a big game are long gone.

Had games with attendance of 7500/8500 this spring. Crowds were really great and engaged

I've been really impressed with the student section the past few years, I remember the home game vs Liberty on Friday night they made a difference. Much different than when I was at SU

How are sales of the premiums? Particularly the Club 44 end zone. The new orange seats, if not full, will stick out terrible on TV games. I would love to see random season ticket holders given game time upgrades to them.

$263 a seat! Includes food and beverage, but that's crazy. Wildhack keeps saying that there was demand for this, but I just don't see it. Every game has almost all of these seats still available. Not a good look for TV

The sideline seats are 2x as much but virtually sold out. Wildhack is right about demand for premium service/club seats but the (lazy) move that was made to try to use the basketball sideline seats for football club 44 was misguided at best.

They were told this by MANY former club44 pass holders (my family was one and knew several others with same opinion). The endzones premium seat schedule is very likley to change now that they have hard data to back up all the negative feedback they recieved when they were trying to sell them this summer.

Make no mistake, there is a sizable demand for tickets that are premium priced with club access, but none of the people who are wiling to pay those prices want to sit in the end zone (I know some on this board know people who like those seats, but that is an exception, not the rule)
