Its time to unlock the old thread.

Is he undersized for our system? Of course. But the upside is worth the risk. Worst case scenario, we keep him from going to Nova.

Ehh idk if anything anyone has is concrete yet but if cal is bringing in hagans for this year (talk about him going from 19 to 18) then I can certainly see why green might opt to transfer out.

Not sure why goodine wouldn't want to come with green here either...maybe goodine plays the 2 for us? Although reports are that JB wants to bring him in as PG but nothing is set in stone I'm sure. Also would be nice to get back to the days of having great players coming off the bench and having some depth. Not everyone that commits to cuse has to be promised the keys from day 1. Look at some of the guards we have had come off the bench because of the guys we had starting. Also goodines whole back story is cuse related with his grandma so hopefully he REALLY wants to be at cuse!

Just now reading this thread and may or may not be a few beers in but I would love to add Quade. Like many others have said on this thread we can use as many bodies as we can get. I really hope if this turns out to be something that our staff goes after Quade. Also I do not want him to go to Villanova because screw them. That is all. LGO

Never a dull offseason right? ;)

Frank persevered through adversity. That was my point. He was thinking about the team, not always himself. He wanted to get better, understood what his role was, made the commitment and it paid off. Speculating about who we might have had if he had been better earlier is not the point. He was a 4-star late to develop. And that's fine. At least he stood by his commitment and rode out the tough times. He was an asset to the team this year, when we really needed him. And while he didn't have a great tournament, he's back next year for us.

Or maybe you misinterpreted what I was saying. Another guard didn't end up coming due to an absolute lack of leadership qualities.

some of the commentary re: quade's season is ridiculous. for the record:
  • his offensive rating of 110.2 was higher than anyone in orange except pascal, whose number is skewed by his vanishingly low usage rate
  • he shot .376 from three, better than anyone on our team
  • he shot .507 from two, better than any of our perimeter players
i have no idea whether or not jb would welcome him in as a transfer, but he the idea that he had a bad offensive season as a freshman in a p5 conference is completely off base

My concern with Quade is he is 5"11" and you know zone. We saw how that worked with Gillon. I'm sure he will get better offensively, but yeah ZONE.
gillon's issues on defense were not due primarily to his height

We’re not in position to turn down talent if he wants to come here. Even though it bugs me that he burned us earlier.
