I am a poster of a thousand words at times, but could you be any more vague and ambiguous with your post? Did you mean the photo with GMac summed up he got Cuse into Swider's final 4, and the first official visit out of those 4? I'm not sure you can tell that from the photo. I'm just hoping he dont get Tuckered out(tm), which still makes me upset that I didnt get to finish working on my Shaft parody for JT. Close him Gerry, he didnt walk off the lot to get out of the rain.

Yup. Btw, have you been to Over-The-Rhine these days? What a transformation! The amount of great restaurants/bars/condos down there now is incredible. The streetcars are in as well.

If I'm reading you right, I agree that Duke probably doesn't want a fast decision from Swider. He can't be the number 1 guy on their board. Swider wanting to get this over with has to help us. We're a long way from the early signing period.

I graduated in 2012 and went back this April for a wedding. It's crazy how much the city has changed in the last 5 years. OTR, The Banks, even the UC Campus. OTR started to get really the good the few years before I left

It was nice when I left, but it's night and day compared to now. It's a really fun city but Xavier just stinks. Super small campus, not much to look at, plopped down right in the middle of Victory Parkway. It's very close to downtown, OTR, Newport, etc. - but the campus itself and immediately surrounding it isn't great IMO.

Yup! I worked in OTR for a year in 07. It was pretty sketchy even then. Just a few spots were there and thriving. Findlay Market of course, Neon's, the Belgian place. Bakersfield maybe just opened. Washington Park was NOTHING like it is now with it all fixed up and the subterreanean parking for Music Hall. Yeah, I know where Xavier is but have never been to the campus area. I'm down in Cincy all the time now for projects and to see friends and it's a blast. Getting expensive now to live in OTR...crazy.

Anyone know how Xavier became a big player in Cole's recruitment? We're they on him early? Is there some connection w/ a coach or family member? Just curious.

Good question. Obviously Mack is a terrific coach and those guys play hard and sound ball. But, other than that I'm not sure. People like myself and jdubs30 who know Cincinnati well have posted about how the Xavier campus is sort of in a weird part of town and there isn't much of a vibe/buzz there. Now, Cincinnati as a city currently is absolutely fantastic and trending up big time. Probably just a random guess by that poster.

I have a lot of respect for Xavier's program and really enjoy watching them play. I think it's fair to say they're a tier below the other 3 programs involved, hence me asking.

I've only been in Cincinnati once a few years ago for work and didn't get to see much of the city unfortunately. Great to hear it's on the up and up.
