It actually makes more sense bringing in a kid like Cole when you factor having Benny and then the possibility of Q. Both more physical players and 3 level guys.

Would absolutely LOVE this pickup. I remember being bummed when he picked Nova. Staff prioritized him over Bazely, which says a lot.

Swider is a spot up shooter. Not athletically gifted and doesn’t put it on the floor much. He’s not even close to the rebounder as Quincy. He is excellent spotting up in transition. You can always find a spot for a 6’9” shooter.

Right. Not a Q replacement at all. Nice piece but would not see this as a replacement at all.

That’s not true at all. He’s athletic, not as much as Q but he is. And hes capable of putting the ball on the floor and driving to the basket . He’s not a stiff , spot up shooter.

If Benny is who we thinks he is it is going to attract more than one defender which is perfect with shooters. Both he and Buddy should hopefully be able to get their shots up leaving a lot of real estate for others.

I think you’re right. If we get Swider it’s because he’s getting minutes.. Benny will get minutes ... and there’s no way Jimmy isn’t getting minutes. I think those are our 3 forwards. I would like a 2/3 who can dribble though

Q vs Jimmy? Night and day. Q’s way more athletic and skilled than Jimmy will ever be and he can jump out the gym. And he’s not a center either. But he can rebound and finish with both hands. If we had to rely on jimmy to board and defend downlow we would get killed on the boards worse than we have without a center this year.

I'll bet Jimmy can make a layup at least.

Agreed. I think Symir as a ballhandler can do an admirable job as a guy who can make a few plays in the lane and find the shooters. Adding a kid like Cole gives him more room to operate. Joe just has to work his ass off this summer and improve as a ballhandler.

Losing Kadary blows. But if we get Symir/Swider that’s a decent response. I feel ok about the core we would have. JG really is the big question Mark
