Let me start off by saying he’d be a welcomed addition.

But

Goodbye transition, again.

We need another guard but i don’t see it happening.
Agree 100%. need a guard that’s capable of getting past his man, collapsing the defense, and kicking out to our shooters. unfortunately i also don’t see it.

Swider is not unathletic. Benny is a big time athlete. Jesse is quite ok here too and Frank is a freak.
Swider is coordinated but I wouldn't say he's athletic in the sense that he's talking about at least. Jesse is in that camp as well IMO.

Benny, yes.

Frank, yes, but I think people are still assuming he's leaving.

Benny will run and is incredibly athletic. Buddy and Cole will spot up while Benny slashes to the hoop, although he can shoot as well.

Benny is a freak yes, and i’d love to see more of Frank. but Jesse is about as uncoordinated as they come regardless of his athletic traits. and i wouldn’t consider Cole an elite athlete by any stretch.

Jesse's reach and mobility as a big I think is fair to put him above par. Swider can get up and down the floor but lateral mobility is an issue. He is average but I know what you mean and don't disagree. You have a guy then like Griff who is a heck of an athlete but half the time doesn't apply it.

Jesse is not uncoordinated at all. His issue has been confidence, still learning the game and strength. Coordination is not an issue.

I didn’t realize lack of confidence makes you stumble and drop rebounds as they come down off the rim, all my years of basketball that’s never happened to me nor anybody i played with. learn something new everyday eh.

Hope we land him.

Kid is an elite shooter. He is very nifty around the hole, and finishes with either hand. And he puts it on the floor and takes it to the rack. Reasonably athletic. Only about 6-8 210.

Reminds me more of a poor man's Kyle Singler than Lydon -- which is plenty good. Could see him as a starting 4 in our system.

Jesse looked pretty solid down the stretch grabbing rebounds and blocking shots so not sure what you’re talking about.

Strength does play a factor here and I would trust that he will come back stronger.

That little video blurb of the guys messing around in a park in Indy the week before the S16 showed Jesse playing soccer.

He did a nifty juggling move - all the more impressive considering he’s a hair shy of seven feet tall.

He needs to get stronger & put on muscle and weight.
And then it’s just reps and practice.

He had a good stretch in the tournament absolutely, and if you go through my posts you’ll see me saying he needs to get the start because he was playing so well. Doesn’t change the fact he has coordination issues with the ball coming off the rim.

That is not coordination at all. It's strength and reps as well as understanding positioning on the court. The kid moves extremely well but was raw coming out of prep.

It’s hand-eye coordination. grabbing the ball has zero to do with strength. the strength part comes in if you’re going up against another player for a board, not if you just go up and can’t secure it and let it drop through your hands, that’s coordination. more reps in that situation i can agree with, but strength, no, not in the situation i’m talking about.
