This is why I said I wanted 2 guards to transfer if we lost Kadary.

I want to compete for the top of conference. I don’t believe our current backcourt can accomplish that. Unless we have 3 studs in the front court.

Powell is a 2/3 who can play the 1. Jimmy is a 4.

My one and only fear with Swider would be JB putting him at the 5. I don't see it given Jesse having grown and his experience but the pain of MD having to play the 5 and even Lydon despite him being better than MD is not a good look. That would mean we need to score 90 a game.

Ehh 3/4. I think Powell could have played the 3 too and been a primary ball handler, but with Jimmy coming I don't think thats happening. Swider will be one of our 3 forwards I imagine.

Agreed. We need a guard or wing that can break guys down off the dribble, get into the lane and dish, finish with either hand or make a pull up ...oh wait, we had that guy but JB just let him walk out the door. Sorry, I may never get over us losing Kadary.

Only chance is we can convince an elite combo 2 guard to come in and handle the PG duties, moving Joe off the ball. Assuming of course Buddy doesn’t use his extra year Of eligibility

Yeah I've reached the acceptance stage. If we are going to get an elite talent to help us it will have to be at forward. JB ain't moving off Girard. He's doing this to win his way and try to prove Joe will win for him. It is what it is.

Kadary was my favorite player on the team. Had he stayed, I think he would have been able to ascend into the top 5 - 7 point guards in program history.

So, no -- I'm not happy about the situation. I wish another guard had transferred out instead.

But I also recognize that JB is going to roll with the guard who stayed, and he just brought in a transfer PG, so... you have to roll with what you have.

Here's hoping Joe looked lethargic due to COVID. Need him to take a step forward next year.

Swider is athletic? Watched him many times and in person against Creighton, he is slow footed and was toasted on defense and pulled. Solid three point shooter but IMO would have him far behind Braswell in raw athletic ability. Of that grouping Edwards would be the most athletic he seems mobile but cant jump out of the gym or wow you.
