This thread is getting weird. But, a lot more than 3 people think he's coming they just ain't saying it on here .
Good enough for me. Back to celebration mode.

"White made 41 percent of his 3-point shots for the Huskers last year, making 87 out of 211 attempts. Compare his numbers to those of Richardson. In his lone year at Syracuse before heading off to the NBA, Richardson made 35 percent of his threes, hitting 79 out of 224."

He really wants to wear #3:

I agree. However, I see the other side the argument about staying on topic. I must be a fast reader because the random "garbage" doesn't bother me at all. Even the posts complaining about the random "garbage" which I think are "garbage" I just ignore and read past them.

Yep I can see both sides of the issue but I've never used the ignore function and I've never had issues getting through 4 or 5 new pages in a thread quickly. It would seem to me that it takes longer to post a complaint about it than it does to simply skip past the posts you don't deem to be worth reading.

One thread of goofiness maybe but this is going on in all the threads. I like a good bit of goofiness at least as much as the next guy but this is way too much

Please explain what you are saying? What is the proper amount so I can be respectful.

Certainly there is a tipping point and it seems, perhaps because its the offseason, more and more threads are tipping. I reasonable grip I suppose.

Some of you have no sense of hu

Yes its seems to be the consensus from anybody with sources that it is only a matter of time. I'm pretty excited about the team dynamic with White added in the mix. He has to be guarded at all times.
I agree, the strenght offensively of JBs teams at least since 2010 imo have been the hi screen and driving it to the rim (Triche, Scoop, Dion, MCW, G, Mal etc). And its worked, 2 FFs and an elite 8 from those guys. But it only works if you unclog the lane. Thats why you need a Rautins, Sutherland, Cooney, White, etc. You have to guard those guys at all times; once those guys space out it frees the lane. JB is probably pretty excited to see what guys like Battle, Howard, Gillon can do on hi screen and then driving it, with White and or Lydon providing spacing...

This has been a crazy exciting off-season with lots of drama. The TT thread and the AW3 thread I think are just responses to all the excitement. Too many curmudgeonly old-men I guess. People want their porridge just the right temperature or they will cry like a baby.

I remember reading early on that White is transferring to some degree because he wants to showcase his ability as a 3pt specialist, which is what he thinks his best chance for the NBA is. I don't expect that if he is on SU this season that he will be some kind of transcendent do-it-all 2 guard and that a D-Nich comparison is more apt. The SU offense would be a good fit for him to pair with a slashing 2G who can score at three levels (Hi, Tyus) and a drive/dish PG (Hello John and Frank). I'm not wedded to any particular starting lineup and there are 8 players who are going to get significant burn. How it shakes out will be the result of summer practice and the staff. But not for nothing, Louisville took on two graduate transfers last season and they both started. Not the same coach, team or situation, but just something to keep in mind.

So with all the insider info pointing to white coming... is there any rumor as to the reason for delay? JB wants to be on campus? Waiting for graduate admission? He's still considering other teams?

Same reason for TT taking so long. He's waiting for the staff to finish setting up the balloons and confetti for his big entrance while GMac is picking up the ice cream cake from Carvel.

I just read the last ten pages. I have no problem with these posts. I'm even okay with people complaining about the posts which I find mildly irritating. How hard is it to read? There's nothing meaningful to say until he commits. I like reading people's speculations on how he fits in. The off topic stuff is amusing IMO. People have to chill a bit. I like having a lot interest because maybe someone will seine the net for something meaningful.

Again, kudos to Orangeman13. I'm still hopeful we get AW3. An important piece IMO.

No offense Dave, and its all fine, but it appears you post 50+ times a day and at all times of the day, so, of course, you have no problem with these posts. I will stop now before I become the very white noise that drives me crazy. : )

You may not be wedded to any particular starting lineup, but I would think for AW3 it would be important to him to start. From a bball resume standpoint, he would want to be able to say went to KU transferred out for PT at Nebraska and then spent his final year as the starting wing for SU. It would show he was back.

Not an unreasonable request. And pretty easy for JB to accommodate. Then at the first TV timeout you bring in 7'2"PC, Lydon, and maybe FH and press the other team into submission.

And to soothe Lydon, JB could guarantee him a starting spot in '17-'18.

I see what you did there ;)

Except Lydon may not stick around that long.

That being said I still like Gillon/Battle/AW/Roberson/DC. I know it's sacrilege to think Lydon comes off the bench, but it's OK because I'm really bad at these kind of prognostications.

That's the lineup I see also, so we'll be really bad together.
