Summer Workouts

Yikes. That was a brutal end to that article.

It’s just weird and speaks to the lack of internal communication that seems to be an everlasting struggle with our athletics programs and leadership. It’s not new so it can’t be JW- just seems like a continuation of operational flaws that no one has sorted out how to correct. There should be no reason for a school like SU to be shooting itself in the foot with little things like this.

That little post entry dish off play… let’s see lots
Of that please
Lots of that and few threes, please, Mr Lampkin.

I wish they showed the whole play... I couldn't figure out exactly where the backcut and pick to set Freeman free came from. Looks like a really nice play, with the threat of Lampkin's post play opening up other things.

I was just happy to see so much movement. Last season was maddening.

It looked like a 2 man drill (with a manager/coach trigger) to simulate some of the movement possibilities in the motion offense.

It’s absolutely insane to me that we won 20 games with Taylor at the 4 and Brown at the 5. Even crazier was that their backups Q and Carey ended up at McNeese St and Sienna.

4 months later and we have Donnie Freebird and Eddie Lampkin instead.
This isn’t news to you or anyone on this board - but Maliq Brown was really, really good. Any other undersized guy playing the 5 for us last year and we probably only end up with like 16 wins

Zero threes made in college.

Its a live ball turnover every single time this dude takes a three even if he’s left alone.

Good lord.

Edit, reposting what I’ve written before:

He’s never taken a three in his college career.

His TS% last year was 59.9%. His FT% last year was 66.1%. His FG% last year was 57.9%, all on twos. All of these aren’t high level for a big, at all.

If he takes a three, it’s the same as a live ball turnover.

And, this is with playing with three NBA draft picks last year.
