how is that not punt interference?

pretty sure it has to do with the returner being planted in a spot, if the returner is running to catch up to a ball, a defender doesn't necessarily know where he is setting up to catch the kick and as such can't give him space.

Yes there was, which is really infuriating since we had about 5 guys downfield quickly and only DMC decided "hm, maybe I should try to cut off the sideline and not stay in a freaking Flying V formation that easily gives him a path to the edge."
