Last point don’t want to be difficult, D played Well

TD seems like a good QB in the NFL sense, like that one pass into the end zone was great if you’re throwing to Megatron, he’s gonna snag that

but in the college ”making plays happen, other than the scramble for 10 yards” every once in a while He really struggles

head needs to be downfield would trade one pick for 7 three and outs no question. Maybe complete 2-3, incomplete 3, INT 1

Could live with that

Well the QB never makes a good read. Or looks through he progressions. The O line isn’t strong. And the receivers don’t catch.

It’s going to be ugly on offense for a while.

its tough to say this because Tommy is such a good kid but he just doesn't have the special awareness and juice. He plays his nuts off but unless he somehow improves we are in for a very long season.

Again people who place the blame solely on the Oline are apparently not seeing what I see as someone who played in college.

Devito is supposed to be the leader out there. Command the team, go through his progressions, know where is outlet is when plays break down. He literally stares down his first read and when the play breaks down he takes a sack or rolls and throws out of bounds.

He has very poor awareness, pocket presence and struggles to read defenses. At least if he would stare down the WR, know where to go based on Coverage. AKA cover 2, hit the guy Deep flag.

I’m sorry to be the pessimist and the line is bad but without another QB, this team will go nowhere

Spot on. Sadly.

Our OL and skill positions really aren’t good.

Tommy is a great thrower. He needs help to be good though - he can’t lift scrubs. McNabb(didn’t have to) and Dungey are the only guys we’ve had who could.

Hopefully this defense is legit and not fluky and we can grind out some games, and hopefully the offense improves and at least becomes adequate and good enough to score against the few weaker teams we play.
Matt Hale was a "great thrower" too. Never saw the field. Just because you have a strong arm doesn't make you a quality QB. I'll take the guy with pocket presence over a strong armed guy who is clueless every time.

I think the book is out on him at this point. He’s not the difference maker we need if we’re trying to rebuild for a program.

What does he have to work with?

Noone is open on the big 3rd down plays.

RBs either lose yards or pick up 2-3 even when there is a hole.

Tons of drops. Harris can't even run a route on the sideline without getting pushed out of bounds. His coaches can't even challenge a clear 1st down he scrambles for. His kicker is missing chip shots.

UNC might end the game with 10 sacks.
What does Louisiana have against Iowa State or Arkansas State have against Kansas State?

Our talent is better than there’s.

The sacks are because the QB locks into one receiver if that guy is covered eats a sack.
