Has to be in line with Hurleys first couple of years at URI. Has ties to the area. Why let him get away we are an absolute disgrace and embarrassment.

combined with serious doubts that they can develop the players they have if they can keep them for multiple seasons, its just yikes

So, that's a 5 year guaranteed contract at a 7% raise over what JB made his last year.

Yes they lost to an excellent Troy team. I watched the entire game and was so impressed by Arkansas St’s athleticism, defensive pressure, and 3-point shooting. I didn’t see any glaring mistakes that he made as a coach in this game.

They did an in-game interview and he has a love and passion for the Buffalo Bills. He’s an upstate New York guy and does a lot of community service just like Coach Fran.

I think he’d be a home run hire for Syracuse if we can get him. I’ll be keeping my fingers crossed that another team doesn’t scoop him up in the off-season

Umm I was referring to a Netflix show called night agent not Syracuse basketball.

The only thing great about Syracuse basketball is… I actually got nothing and to be honest I haven’t bothered to watch a game since the calendar turned to 2025 and it will remain that way as long as Autry is the coach.

Is it though? I don’t trust all the data I found from my random google search, but it would put him just inside the top 50 in terms of pay scale.

You could maybe have gotten him cheaper, but in terms of revenue he would have produced if he was able to put together even an average team, that’s not out of line compared to peer schools

The responsible thing IMO would have been a 4 year $11M contract. Red was an extremely risky hire. Giving him a 5 year contract makes no sense.

Longer conversation but JB did not adapt well with the zone and the proliferation of positionless offense where everyone can shoot. Asking a big like Jesse Edwards to cover the corners to prevent three point shooting is the perfect example of that.

But you’re larger point remains and is 100% correct. This team was doomed from the beginning by remarkably poor talent evaluation.

Afterward, Autry said the shot selection went against the coaching staff’s teaching points.

“We typically talk about drive the ball, drive the ball until we have to shoot a 3,” Autry said. “I’m not singling him out, but those are the type of things where you have to do what you’re told and what we’re coaching. At that point you want to put pressure on the rim.”
 
Team is so frustrating. so many games we get in the hole, make a nice run to catch up and cant get the D stop to take the lead.

How come we have not tried Lampkin and MacLeod on the court together when we play Zone ? I know there is no magic answer, but you gotta try to change things up a bit.

In terms of the current roster, the only guys I would really want back next season are JJ and Donnie (if he doesnt go pro). The rest of the guys should be easily replaceable if they left. The only player who I think has shown in season improvement is Eddie. He is playing very well right now.

Dont know what has happened with Moore, he is playing so far below what I think his potential should be. Is that coaching or have I mis-evaluated ? If Red comes back he will need a change of scenery, if Red doesnt come back then let him start fresh with the new Coach.

Cuffe has great energy, but he plays totally out of control and lacks scoring skills.
