Has to be in line with Hurleys first couple of years at URI. Has ties to the area. Why let him get away we are an absolute disgrace and embarrassment. This is his second season as head coach. Exactly how many regular season or conference championships are you expecting? The year before Hodgson took over, Arkansas State's winning percentage was .394. Last season when he took over their winning percentage was .541. This season its .731. And we're not exactly talking about a recruiting hotbed.
combined with serious doubts that they can develop the players they have if they can keep them for multiple seasons, its just yikesPlus the big elephant in the room is what top-level program-changing talent is going to want to come to a bottom-tier ACC team with a coach who hasn't shown much if anything at all? You can have all the money in the world but if the top talent wants to go play for the top programs or the top coaches and we have neither we are going to be left getting talent like Eddie who is talented but has major flaws.
we already blew it with Oates, JB handcuffed us, now Alabama is #2 in the country.Has to be in line with Hurleys first couple of years at URI. Has ties to the area. Why let him get away we are an absolute disgrace and embarrassment.
Same thing last season. If JJ comes back with some shooters he can be a huge weapon. The kid scored twenty points in the second half. What the heck do people want? Did he take a couple of tough shots? Sure, but he also brought us back in the game. What’s great about JJ he’s not afraid to fail. There’s not a lot of kids like him. You bring back JJ, Freeman and Petar and you have three winners. Mix in our freshman and 2-3 quality portal kids and we can have a good season. What little talent this team has and people want to run off their best player. It’s hard to understand.
Yes they lost to an excellent Troy team. I watched the entire game and was so impressed by Arkansas St’s athleticism, defensive pressure, and 3-point shooting. I didn’t see any glaring mistakes that he made as a coach in this game. The lord and savior Hodgson lost at home tonight and is now in a four way tie for first place. He hasn’t won a regular season or tournament conference championship and hasn’t coach in NCAA tournament game. Our fan base has to pump the breaks on Hodgson
First season great… second season not so much in my opinion.Nice, I just finished The Recruit and saw The Night Agent as a recommendation. Good show?
would be good and easy move. he would hop here over any other school in an instant. When Red is eventually dismissed watch out for Bryan Hodgson. Arkansas State is really good; their defense, outside shooting and athleticism is much better than we have right now.
All we’d need was a bona fide little person and we’d have a circus.Just to confirm….
Eddie was at the line to cut the game to 2 with 1 min left in the game. We needed a stop.
Red made the decision to go with the following lineup:
Eddie
Taylor
Cuffe
JJ
CARLOS
That was the lineup.
Ok.
This guy doesn’t know what he’s doing
Yeah we didn’t beat Chaminade this year.First season great… second season not so much in my opinion.
Umm I was referring to a Netflix show called night agent not Syracuse basketball.Yeah we didn’t beat Chaminade this year.
If 19 (20*) wins and no NCAAT is “great”… we’re screwed.
Is it though? I don’t trust all the data I found from my random google search, but it would put him just inside the top 50 in terms of pay scale. If JW put a $3m per year multiple year contract in front of Red he deserves to be fired alongside Red. That’s moronic for an unproven coach that was making nowhere close to that as the Associate Head Coach. Shows the ineptitude of the program.

You could maybe have gotten him cheaper, but in terms of revenue he would have produced if he was able to put together even an average team, that’s not out of line compared to peer schools
Was #2. Auburn took'em down yesterday.we already blew it with Oates, JB handcuffed us, now Alabama is #2 in the country.
Longer conversation but JB did not adapt well with the zone and the proliferation of positionless offense where everyone can shoot. Asking a big like Jesse Edwards to cover the corners to prevent three point shooting is the perfect example of that.JB’s system worked. His game day coaching was always top notch. His recruiting fell off the planet toward the end.
Yeah I’m pretty much checked out till we move on from Autry. Good on people who can still watch and support the program.Join me my friends. Don’t put yourselves through this. I paid no attention to this crap. I instead watched a very entertaining USA vs Canada hockey game. Check back in when the house has been cleared
Cuffe has great energy, but he plays totally out of control and lacks scoring skills.![]()
With chance at its best win, Syracuse blew the final minute vs. North Carolina: ‘You have to do what you’re told'
The Orange hasn't beaten a major conference team with a winning record this season.www.syracuse.com
With Syracuse trailing by four, the Orange proceeded to lose all poise and situational awareness on offense, rushing the ball up the floor and hoisting an ill-advised shot.
Cuffe, a 30% 3-point shooter who had missed his previous four shots, launched a contested 3-pointer that banged hard off the rim.
Afterward, Autry said the shot selection went against the coaching staff’s teaching points.
“We typically talk about drive the ball, drive the ball until we have to shoot a 3,” Autry said. “I’m not singling him out, but those are the type of things where you have to do what you’re told and what we’re coaching. At that point you want to put pressure on the rim.”

And this isn't their first season ranked #2 with Oateswe already blew it with Oates, JB handcuffed us, now Alabama is #2 in the country.
If he hits the 3 pointer, he brings the house down.
But...
He's only shooting 28.3% this season.
I hate missed 3's. I hate them even more when we miss them early in the shot clock.
