Davis is at least positioning himself for a better shot. JJ looks cool dribbling but sometimes he creates an even tougher shot.
When Lampkin is dribbling...most of the time hes looking to pass, its not his fault his teammates cant get open and then he is forced to shoot.

VT did adjust on defense. But we did a poor job readjusting and isolating them and then sending cutters through the lane.

People think I'm crazy, but I suggested—if a new excellent head coach option couldn't be identified and brought in quickly—that we should bring Boeheim back for a year.

• It would give us time to identify a really promising head coach.
• It would give us the best chance to hold onto Kiyan Anthony and others and also to potentially bring in some portal players who want to play under a HOF coach on a one-year run.
• It would generate some excitement in the media and the fan base, specifically next year with Anthony.
• It would be a move with a pre-determined end-date, so it provides some stability even while things are up in the air.

I'm not saying it's a better idea than bringing in a proven coach who is available, but I think it's a better idea than hoping for an incremental improvement with Autry or brining in someone who is a crap shoot just to have someone new here.

btw, there is someone in a position of power in SU athletics who loves this idea (no, it's not JB).

I didn’t get to watch today, but I looked at the box score and I couldn’t understand how we lost.

Shot 54% from the field
40% from 3
Out rebounded them by 7
4 more made FTs
Even on asists
4 more turnovers (which isn’t terrible)

And then I see that VT, a team that’s averaged a 44% FG Pct this season, shot 61% from the field. So I suppose that’s the difference.

Yuck.

If the attendances are really bad and gameday revenues are in the toilet, I could see Wildhack being fired to cast blame.

Look the people to blame are the ones who let JB stay beyond the time he should have retired. That would be the Chancellor, big donors, and the BOT.
They were the only ones who could have gotten a new coach and they didn't.
It's to late now to start a search for a new coach this year, so hope for the best in the offseason and go from there.

How is it too late to start a search? Maybe it’s already begun (doubt it). But the up and coming coaches are still coaching so the process won’t even start until the end of March
