Meet the cast of 'The Challenge 40: Battle of the Eras,' which features fan-favorite challengers who will represent four different eras of the show’s history.
The upgrade from season 39 to season 40 is incredible.
Season 39‘s new ‘champion’ isn’t even included in the cast. That whole champion stuff is complete bs.

This is the best cast I can remember. I think the only one missing that would make it better is Wes. Having Emily and Laurel on a team is bonkers, maybe the 2 best females ever.

The dream is what’s her face the lawyer or whatever that was fairly dominant way back when. Evelyn? Pretty sure she works in DC now but she was awesome back in the day.

Had to go look at his Challenge wiki. Looks like he's been gone since 2012 but did All Stars 1 which I don't remember. Used to like Landon and MJ too. Were both strong as hell. Think MJ was a receiver or something at Colorado before going on Real World.

That's right - seeing MJ back would be nice. I saw him on some classic episode a couple weeks ago on MTV News or some shite (they run marathons every Sunday or Monday it seems) - he absolutely towered over people.
Landon was cool too. I gotta start checking out the All-Stars events. I've never watched any, but would be curious to see what some of these people that checked out like a decade ago are up to now (since some seem to compete in those, but not the regular Challenge).
S40 intro episode kicked off. I wonder why they all go along with having Aneesa back.
It's such a huge disadvantage. She doesn't try. She doesn't get into shape. She's kinda whiny.
Also, watching S39 finally...Jay/Michelle are just annoying. Jay without a hat looks like every dude that has buried someone in their basement in an episode of Criminal Minds.
This season may also be the winner for the most people saying "all bets are off" and/or "if I come back I'm going to turn this game upside down" - whilst then returning and turning nothing at all upside down.

He's such a legend. I liked that they was always tension, but they were sorta friends, but also so cutthroat. Now, everyone is so afraid to make a move because of alliances. So many of the old school people genuinely loved to blow up alliances. Wes and Bananas being two of the kings of that move.
CT seems to do this every 4 or 5 years. Just get HUGE......so he can come back all in shape and win. Aneesa meanwhile.....always forgets the "get back into shape" part.
The part where Era 1 is all going to bed at like 9pm was pretty amusing in the first episode. The previews look good - some classics for the elimination rounds (Hall Brawl!)

Facts. Fessy sucks. After watching S39 just now, I'm very happy not to see Berna back. She is insufferable.
Also, I don't hate Emanuel, but I just can't listen to him say "I really need the money for my family" any more.
1. I'm always skeptical of how poor you can be if you have a luxury car or tens of thousands of dollars in tattoos. Sure, he could have a brother that does tats or something, but legit poor people usually have stick figure tats that some dude drew for them in prison. They never have $50K in nice ones! That's not a huge deal though.
2. He did nothing that whole season and won! Worst champ ever crowned. Champ of the losers and he did nothing the entire season. No challenges played. No cool moments. Nothing.
3. He's always like, "I love my GF back home so much (as he bangs the sixth girl that season), and then says, "Poor Emanuel, I love my GF and this is just so awful." Either go Bananas level scumbag and own it, or don't, but throwing yourself a pity party every time you cheat on your GF gets old! Stop doing it sooooooo much!!!!
"I feel so bad for myself, I have such a big heart!" . Be a better person then!

I'm a bit surprised that, after all these years, Paulie is still being the weird, tough guy who likes to puff up his chest and talk sh$t. What does this gain him?
I'm definitely rooting for the old farts - Era 1 - as I am an old fart who has been watching for 40 seasons.
My bet is on Era 3, though. I think Jordan is the best competitor in the season.
