To answer your question he made a donation to Brady’s charity. A situation where everybody wins.So I definitely get all of that. But what's the motivation for Tom Brady to leave his supermodel wife and family to come to Syracuse, NY in February? Does he also have an interest in Syracuse getting national exposure, or is there some other professional/charitable benefit to him?
Sounds like you don't know him. So why post this?
Why assume anything?be careful of false prophets. that's my point. I don't know the guy at all. Shows up all of a sudden and wants to carefully curate every single thing he does with social media posts.
The obvious reason is he loves the attention and truly wants to help. I'm hoping that's his MO.
But this is a message board right? Someone puts a thread up about a random guy who is suddenly around the program and we should all assume the absolute best.
I still have little idea who he is! I am not, shall we say, in the loop.I still have no idea what to make of this guy.
Why assume anything?
This thread started with a false premise and went from there.
Easy when you get millions and the business from Daddy. Come-on man100% an amazing business guy.
has truly learned how to work his way up through the world and should be admired for that.
Probably a poor choice of words here. What’s he being accused of here? Being rich and interested in our basketball team? God I hope he continues being guilty
Which part? Sorry I really don’t knowProbably a poor choice of words here.
Well, he hasn’t knocked it out of the park if he’s trying to help recruiting.be careful of false prophets. that's my point. I don't know the guy at all. Shows up all of a sudden and wants to carefully curate every single thing he does with social media posts.

The “I hope he continues being guilty” partWhich part? Sorry I really don’t know
I've seen him numerous times on the sidelines during games and 'interested in our basketball team' doesn't seem like an accurate assessment. What’s he being accused of here? Being rich and interested in our basketball team? God I hope he continues being guilty
If I were sitting next to Brooke Burke, I too might have trouble being interested in the game.I've seen him numerous times on the sidelines during games and 'interested in our basketball team' doesn't seem like an accurate assessment.
That's completely fair. LolIf I were sitting next to Brooke Burke, I too might have trouble being interested in the game.
Why? Dude goes to all the games, brings attention to the university with his guests, donates money, and was going to start an academy. He can’t be spoken about?Mods, can we lock this thread now?

Actually put it on pause and offered up the site to the State at no cost for Covid research or affiliated activities.that’s what was said
but Adam has a habit of saying he’s bringing these wonderful things to a town and then doesn’t...not taking away from him and what he does for attention to the program. But until you see Adam open a business, don’t ever plan on it coming.
The site was apparently not used for a COVID research or treatment facility and last I read, was being offered for lease to local HMOs.Actually put it on pause and offered up the site to the State at no cost for Covid research or affiliated activities.

Honestly don't understand people needing to question his motives. Befriended JB through their phinalnthropic efforts, became a fan and has the resources to enjoy it to the max. Has brought high level attention to the program and has completely remade his life after screwing up to become one of the leasding philanthropists in Upstate NY. Tell me where the negatives are beyond unfounded innuendo and internet drivel.

Great post, Mike. You articulated my thoughts on this better than I could. Can I be honest? I don't know the guy at all. Zero.
My only worry has nothing to do with him as a person. Again, don't know the guy. Glad he's helping upstate and all those charities. Seriously, all the better for the folks involved.
All I know is that in my life we've been hit with sanctions 2x. I worry about any *potential* attention we're getting that is high profile in terms of stuff that has to do with money being thrown around.
Tom Brady is not coming to watch a Cuse game for free. There is something given (charity, payment, whatever) that I am sure is 100% legal and above board. But it still is a "look at us" thing.
Starting a basketball academy? In theory, great. Fantastic. Our backyard. Can it be looked at as a workaround to get high profile recruits? Yep.
To me, this is NOT USC opening football practices to have Will Farrell and Snoop in attendance to watch (which, btw, they eventually got nailed for stuff from that time period).
Again, maybe I'm nervous for no reason and that's my own issue, but I'll be honest, any involvement with him constantly posting photos, constantly getting celebs to attend games that seem out of left field, a potential bball academy... all I keep thinking is this is inviting attention that we probably don't need.
Plus, it's not like our recruiting is at a high note, lately.
Again, all of this is just my own issue with it. Happy he's helping upstate and all the charity he does. Good on him. Honestly, I mean that.
