Development in and Around Syracuse Discussion

Remember that the Dome doesn't have enough press facilities.

Everytime we've hosted a regional, the entire backcourt area is used as press workshops. If you want to build temporary seating there, you still have to find a place for the media.
We have the MVC now. Maybe that area for the VIPs (Hidden Level?) could also be used.

There are more options now than back in the old days.

For a Final Four they would build a custom low slope stands from courtside all the way to the East side 300 level. It would include private boxes. My guess is that it would bump capacity to 50-55k. It would be the better setup for watching basketball than any site they are using today. But if they are really set on 70k, no way it is going to happen.

Not sure the Northeast will ever host another Final Four.

Stinks for the region where it all started and where population density is highest……

Cleveland isn't "northeast" I suppose, but it's the closest that we'll get, it would appear, if they actually build that proposed indoor stadium for the Browns.

Might as well let the press use MVC.

They can't sell any alcohol.

This is a photo I took after the Spring Game. The lot in the photo is one of the West stadium lots (owned by SU), and there's a fortune worth of steel trusses (and beams) ready to go somewhere. Anyone have any insight about where they might be headed?

Ahh, ok. Appreciate the replies. That's a LOT of steel. Must be an impressive show. I was tempted, if not for the late notice.
FWIW, I've seen the stage in the Dome fully assembled. It's way more impressive than I imagined it would be.

Someone has got to get them signed up as a corporate sponsor. Before JMA, I thought the Chobani Dome was the right move.

Their CEO doesn't seem like the type to spend money on that type of stuff. Seems like he's all for re-investing profits back into the company and his employees.

So, I got to Crooked Cattle this afternoon.

I asked about the Clark's Ale House sandwich. He called it a tribute. I liked that. Turns out he knew my cousin, and we had a nice chat. PBRs in a can.
A delicious potato salad with bacon and scallions, and the sandwich, my oh my! It was really good!

I had originally planned to get a sammy here, and then go to the Tap House on Walton (former Blue Tusk), where they have a "French Onion Beef Sandwich" or maybe a French Onion Burger, I'm not certain.

But this was so good I just couldn't stop, and then a monsoon came, so that will have to wait for next time. It was a scouting mission, anyway. [That makes it a business write off, right?]

Poured a little au jus on that baby, and dipped frequently. The au jus was beefy with a bit of salt. The horseradish was a sauce, not just straight horseradish like the original. (I had brought my own, but didn't need to use it. LOL) I had 2 little cups of it with my sammy, and that stuff gets up your nose in a most enjoyable way.

The other Clark's Ale House Roast Beef Sandwich imitator / tribute sandwich contender - The French Onion Sammy at the Tap House on Walton St. (former Blue Tusk). This looks amazing, too.
