ing Cincinnati can't throw the ball in the ocean...

1 for %#$#$^# 9.

I love how Bilas and McDonough keep bringing up What happened last night lol. "I wonder what Boeheim thinks about this". Haha.

McDonough is PISSED, you can tell his Orange homerism is coming through. He is ticked off at how bad Cincy is playing tonight versus last nite. He called out Kilpatrick going 6 for 9 last nite and was 3 for 23 prior to last nite. Sean sounds like he wants to bust out the flask while calling this game.

Cincy shot way over their heads in the 1st half last night but we didn't do a great job guarding them either.

Turn the SWAC game on. It may be hoops but its hoops with a bid on the line.

I cant watch the BE game. Still too bitter.
As much as I dont care about small conference ball I was actually thinking to myself about 2 minutes ago maybe I should listen to Marsh and watch the SWAC haha.

It really is high quality bad basketball...but a bid is on the line so I will watch (Ok I would have watched anyways)

MAC final isn't that bad Ohio up 6 on Akron on the Deuce.

We were overdue to have a team get hot from outside against us. Cinci was overdue to get hot from outside. The two ships happened to collide last night.

Better to get it out of our system this week.

Hi, my name is Cincinatti and I blew my load last night.
Ok curiosity killed me and I flipped to see the score for the first time. 6 forking points? Jesus I am even more upset now.

Akron/Ohio - good game in the MAC tourney as well.

Sometimes you run into teams when they're hot. Ask UNC the day they got demolished by 30 vs. FSU...but that just proved what a bunch of p****** UNC is, too. Haven't seen a softer team in the top 15 all year

uc is 7-29 from the field and 0-9 from 3.. they got plenty of good looks tonight...we did play awful d but even worse offense. i would imagine the team is pissed and wants to get after it in the ncaas.

This game is not about Cincy missing, but the fact that Louisville is actually guarding them. We were lazy last night. Cincy can barely run an offense tonight. They did anything they wanted last night. We played half as hard last night as Louisville is playing defense tonight. It's amazing what happens when you actually guard people.

I agree with Bilas that much of the differecne is that we were flat-footed on defesne in the firs thalf last night and Lousiville is all voer them tonight. That's not 100% of it but it's a big part of it.

Our team has four problems right now, three of which are correctable:

1) We have no power forward and good rebounding teams can dominate us on the board more than we can make up for it with blocks and steals.

2) We have been shooting the ball poorly for some time now, although our nubmers were good lasty night. I think desparation causes players to just shoot and not think about it. As I said before, hopefully the muscle memory kicks in.

3) Scoop is back in the mode of thinking that he's got to do it by himself. That's basically waht "Bad Scoop" is. He shouldn't be challenged to "step up'. He needs to be told to calm down and realize that his job is to run the offense and take advantage of opportunities when they present themselves, not go one on four on a fast break.

4) Our defesne has fallen off down the stretch. It was awful in the first half vs. Cincy but even in the second half and other games it's not producing the steals and blocks and fast breaks it once did when we were dominating teams. I'd like to see the press used more proactively, as it was being used earlier in the season. But the big thing is that we aren't playing the zone as aggreessively as we were. Where are the traps, the tipped balls, the action out front, the blocks and the steals? We were getitng 15-20 fast break points per game. We got 2 vs. Cincy.

#1 Isn't walking through that door but we've done #2-4 before this year and need to do it again to go deep in the tournament.

It makes me wonder about last night's game. We have covered the 3-point line better than that in every single game this year. Was JB trying to bait them into firing away knowing they are a poor shooting team and it just backfired? In the second half they got basically nothing...

Honestly as horrible as it was to watch, we still would have won that game going away if we got even a 25% performance from any one of three starters (Kris, Scoop, CJ). It was just a combo of crazy extremes last night that led to that loss.

geez ...bad luck there

I always like it when they shoot it like that (with a lot of arc) instead of the hard line drive. I'm a pretty phenomenal free throw shooter to begin with:) , but I can shoot it an easy 20 feet in the air and hit the rim every time. It may go in more than the line drive, but it would give your big men plenty of time to push the other team under the rim.
