Doesn't GMAC have Sidibe and Matt Moyer to his credit?

Thorpe was a joint effort. Started out with Griff and he was a big help throughout but Red got things going for us when Pitt was a surprisingly distinct possibility. Gerry also chipped in. Sidibe was mostly Gerry (with Hop too) and Moyer was Gerry.

Gerry is also the reason we had any shot at all with Green and Tucker, right? I mean those guys wound up going to the #1 and #2 all time recruiting juggernauts and we had both of them at the 11th hour leaning cuse. Because of Gerry. I don't think there is debate about that. Very few recruiters in the country win those battles. Given that, isn't there good reason to be optimistic about Gerry the recruiter? I know the theme amongst many vocal people here is that the guy is a complete loser and pariah, but I don't see evidence of that.

Gmac is like 0 for 5.
This is why the whole "narrative" thing popped up. It seems that GMAC has some learning to do, but once folks started questioning GMAC people jumped on the bandwagon of how bad he is. When in reality he has some good things under his belt it was taken to such an extreme as your post above continues that it reeked of piling in.

If Gmac got Sid i stand corrected. Sid is a great get.

True, in all likelihood, Gerry was not working with the same tools as the guys from UK and Duke.

Our Elite Camp this year is perhaps our most important one. Really need it to go smoothly and, frankly, for everyone to be showing the invitees nothing but positivity. Need to show the school in the best possible light and to really make it clear to Swider he is at the top of our list.

We need for it to result in commitments from our top-tier recruits. End of story.

So Duke is going to have Tucker and O'Connell on the roster next year and they most likely will sign Cam Reddish and one other 5 star at the 2/3. If Swider goes to Duke either he, Tucker or O'Connell will never play. Sick of them just taking talented guys and parking them on the bench.

Much like UCLA of old. See Swen Nater.

One of the things that struck me about one of swiders tweets when he said he disagreed with Durant's decision to join GS warriors. Makes me hope he is not on board with joining a super team and hope that he realizes joining duke would be just that. Hope he wants to forge his own legacy at cuse.

Trust me, we are very much in the game with Swider.
If Duke is his dream school what makes us contenders? Minutes? I hope you are right and this is exactly the type of player to help elevate us back to previous levels of recruiting and show the program is solidly back on its feet.

His stats are insane, you can't shoot much better than that. He would be great at the 3 here. Possibly the 4, but on offense a perimeter guy. Doesn't matter anyway, he's a wing but won't be at the 5 out of position like Lydon.

I think he's way more than a shooter. I'm not sure about his defense, but in the zone on the wing, he would do just fine. Not to say his D is bad, just no clue about it. He looks like he can rebound well, and with some more weight, then he will be just fine.

Would be great to pull this one off. I don't care about Duke. Tucker wanted Duke. Swider will do what is best for him. It may be Nova, or another school, but Duke isn't an automatic just because they offer.
