How is Texas even being discussed their 16 and 16?

Committee chair said those type of teams are getting considered due to strong computer numbers, but posed the question, if they didn't win, what does that really say about the team, and is that a team that really earned a bid?

It increases our chances to fall off the 8-9 line and into the 10 seed line.

We get bumped down to a 10 for bracketing purposes, and voila, somehow Syracuse and Washington get lined up together.

Why does it matter? The 1s and 2s are interchangeable at this point.

I would rather be a natural 10 seed than 9 seed.
Thus those teams winning would pass us on the S-Curve.
If ACC gets 3 # 1 seeds and we are a natural 8/9 seed it helps drop us to a 10 seed as well.

I want atleast a chance for an upset.
With the 4 bottom teams being in the play-in games the 15 seeds have become stronger.

Give me a 7/10 seed over 8/9 for that reason.

I guess that makes sense if you don’t see much difference between the 7s, 8s, and 9s.

I just don't see it. I honestly think Cuse has a better chance at a 7 than a 10 (though I don't think either will happen). Committee will love the Duke win too much. I have them as an 8 on the seed list I just posted over at TCW Bracketology

We probably are a natural 8/9 but with three potential 1 seeds in the ACC we could easily be moved to a 7/10.

2 reasons we could be a 10.

The committee tends to not spend as much time seeding the 6-10 lines. It's more about the pod seeds and the bubble. That is why I beleive there is always a few head scratchers in this area.

The speculation that NET will be the key determinant for seeding (not getting in). If that is the case our range is in the 10.
