SMH at some responses. JB did say "family health issues". Could be true, you know. Say his mom - as difficult as she may be, but very close to him - got sick, and he had taken the news hard. Would explain his withdrawn behavior and missed summer sessions. So now maybe it was he who decided to transfer - not his mom. Who knows what's really going on?

This is the kid who did his best to ostracize Matt Moyer last summer, calling him "white" because of his academic/violin interests, to the point it became an on-court problem in practices.

Loved Thompson's offensive skill and think he had a certain energy that could've been positively channeled toward team goals, but I'm not shedding any tears over this departure.

Now...what grossly undersized forward will be thrown into the center position in November once Boeheim decides that Chukwu shouldn't play? We've lost our two best/worst options.

Sidibe. To be honest no matter who is put in the center position it couldn't be worse than having TT in there. It is going to be an issue on the offensive end and puts pressure on the Marek/Moyer/Brissett to score.

Did not know this re: ripping on Moyer like that. That's too bad. I'm in the music business so that hits home evern harder. This is just crazy. Kid threw away an amazing opportunity here. Would've been playing around 30mpg assuming he could stay on the court, IMO. Unfortunate.
