Sadly there aren't many Northeast guys out there. Moorhead fits. Then who? Even at the assistant level like Hafley was, I cannot think of a guy.FWIW Pasqualoni went into those catholic HSs and grabbed the likes of a Rob Konrad (St John's Prep).
Not sure we ever did fantastic in those spots. We did have local recruiters who could really find Diamonds (Ferri) in the rough in the Everetts, Brocktons of the world.
That's why if we can't land a Doug Marrone redux, I'd love for Syracuse to find a northeastern guy to take over. It worked with Mac, it worked with Pasqualoni. Haven't done it since. Marrone was a guy from the Bronx, that's the closest.
EDIT: Had he been younger, Don Brown wouldn't be a bad call.
Outside the box you can go for a guy like Nick Charlton and hope he is the next Chip Kelly but that is a bit of a risk. I wouldn't be surprised if he replaces Hafley in a few years at BC. If Mark Ferrante does well this year you could consider him too.
