Louisville hiring Jeff Brohm

My bad, you’re right.

All good! I thought the same earlier and looked it up, forgot about the new scheduling system.

Given that change - I hope, similar to Louisville this year - that we start with an ACC opponent. Would love to get the HClemson, @UNC, or @FSU out of the way early and get them at full strength.

Purdue will be playing Fresno State and at VT the weeks before they play us, so Dino will have his precious film.

Wasn't sure if the games were set in stone other than Purdue -- but makes sense

So Purdue loses Brohm and their triangle of production on offense?

We won with all of them there in 2022. I would certainly think we should win without any of them there in 2023.

4-0 OOC in 2023 would be ideal.

Damn

Gotta think Purdue makes a splash hire.

Just gonna leave this here and run away...

Would be somewhat bummed but also not heartbroken. Although if he actually wants to address the offensive line this season I believe that we are going to be a very dangerous team next year.

I don't get the Candle love. His best win was his 1st game over Temple in a Bowl. Since then his best win was beating Ohio last week. In 7 seasons he has won his division only 2x. He has lost his last 4 Bowls. He is still very young and having so much experience is great. I think he would be a solid hire with potential given his age. But I wouldn't be too excited.

The B1G is a few horse league and Brohn can do better for himself/team and make it further in the ACC & CFP.

Buckethead votes no...

Props to UL for hiring a HC from a B1G school. Yes, he was an alum but it is a great sign a school is committed to football when it is able to steal a HC from a B1G program that did not want to lose its HC.

No worried about Dino leaving. I think he is happy at Syracuse, and it at a point in his life where he doesn't want to uproot his family and start again.

He has been moving around his whole life, going b ack to when he was an Army brat as a kid.

I suspect he is enjoying stability and will finish his career coaching Syracuse.

Maybe it's because I root for Syracuse football but two division titles, one conference title, and four bowls in seven years seems like a good resume.
