It kind of reminds me of a human being as time passes. Things change with the body, and/or the mind, but eventually you realize you're not going back to the old normal(in this liftetime, anyhow).
Well that's depressing

That’s the thing. This year at least, you are 100% spot on. Buddy and Joe couldn’t defend Colgate’s guards in M2M let alone ACC guards. It’s a lazy take to say this team should go man.
We retired John Wallace's number today. His sr year, we beat Kansas and Roy (they were a #1 seed) to go to the final four. second biggest game that JB and Roy have gone against each other. JB won the most important game as well. This game...not that an important a game.
Roy studied with pagan monks in Mongolia to learn the ways and weaknesses of the 2-3 zone, and how to utilize its weaknesses against it. He returned to the United States a new man that found a better way
JB nailed it!
They didn't make shots in the first half, they made shots in the second half! Curses!!!!

Um, yeah it is. To say you can’t do something without even trying it is sort of the definitionUh, yeah, no it's not.

I was told on here in the past that defense is just about trying hard. Not about talent.
The talent part I recall, but I think the first component was more of a system/process than just trying, per se.
To suggest you do something that hasn't been practiced to any extent or performed during a game for God knows how long is ridiculous. His post was not defeatist.Um, yeah it is. To say you can’t do something without even trying it is sort of the definition
has the system/process changed or are the kids not talented enough to play it?

maybe we should throw a 1-3-1 next game then see how that works.Um, yeah it is. To say you can’t do something without even trying it is sort of the definition

I agree they’re horrible defensively. And I think they’d be bad in m2m too. But to sit there and watch a clinic on zone offense be put on today (and also the previous 12 games in the acc) by Roy just feels helpless. Try something different. It might work, it might notIt’s not defeatist...it’s accurate assessment of the two worst defensive guards (who actually play a lot) in SU history

But in all seriousness, the press today showed everything you need to know about this team. Less athleticism than we’ve had in the past and the result was ineffective .
