NFL Thread - 2019

I agree the next two games will give a better sense of how much Patsies have feasted on cream puffs or if they're truly dominant.

The Bills have the best OL they've faced to date and I'd say Buffalo's is pretty good but not the strength of their team.

Not knowing the Ravens OL, but knowing how much Lamar's running helps it, that will be an interesting match up.

Iggs OL looks to have gotten their stuff together against Buffalo. If they're healthy when NE comes to town then I expect a Philly win (assuming no early deficits that force Philly to throw it).

I can't figure out the Birds' OL. Looked very good against GB and Buffalo and fairly awful against Minnesota and Dallas. Some days they come to play and some days they don't. The key to Philly's offense is to get Desean Jackson back on the field. He can take the top off a defense more than just about any WR in the NFL. Without him they have to have 12-15 play drives which is tough to do against good teams.

I agree and posted in another thread - I still think they win the division. They just have to clean up penalties. That said their coach is a moron and they have too much $ tied up in receivers who don't produce.

I wouldn't count out the Stillers in that division. Their defense is rounding into form.

The kid in Cincy isn't flexing many muscles on the head coaching front either. Lot of bad coaches in the league. Crazy
There are like 10 coaches I would want as my HC
Belichick, Carroll, Payton, Reid, Reich, McDermott, Harbaugh, Zimmer,
maybe Shannhan, Pederson, Arians, Rivera

The rest are just dumb or figureheads.

Philly certainly played better on O. The Bills played into Pederson's hands by rarely sending more than 4-5 at Wentz.

I was surprised Buffalo thought rushing 4 and dropping 7 was a good strategy against a team with no deep threat 1 possession guy and 1.5 TEs (Goeddert isn't quite as good as Ertz, yet).

Definitely helped the Iggs run game and short passing get un-stuck.

Philly pounded the ground game and had a little more success than I thought they would have against the Bills. That made the play action more effective. I thought that Wentz played well. I was at the game and I can tell you the playing conditions were very difficult. Winds were whipping around in the 30 mph range.

I heard they talked to Cleveland about OBJ but I have no clue how they would do it.

They need an OL if they make another deal IMO.
Golden Tate for a 2.

Damn the jets straight up fleeced the Giants for Williams.

A 3 and a 5?

What’s so great about that? Guy was the 6th pick in the draft. If you had the 6th pick in the upcoming draft, would you deal it for a 3 and 5?

Saint Doug has his Jags playing good ball and will be stronger when Pfohls comes back.

Yeah it’s totally the same thing. My god you got me. Zing. A survivor pool is totally betting a point spread and is the same thing as betting on a team.
I’m busted you got me.

I didn't say anything about betting a point spread. Picking a team to win in a survival pool is betting on a team to win the game. If it isn't then I don't see why anyone would pick a team in a survival pool. I understand that in the latter weeks of the season, you may have slim pickens'...but in week 8, there are alternatives to the Titans if you really feel that way about them.

Beckham has been a terrible route runner this year according to PFF. Good luck freelancing with Brady.

Why aren't the Bengals dealing people? I am fascinated by teams that have no clue.
There owner is a cheap and thinks its
1959. His dad didn’t like trading and so he doesn’t like to trade.
The only reason they traded Carson Palmer was they got overpaid for him.
