Georgia Tech - October 19th - Group Tickets, Tailgate, etc..

A reminder PM went out today.
For you lurkers... it's not too late to join.

I'd like to receive ticket orders by Wednesday, August 21st.

** Last Call For Tickets **

It's that time. Time to cowboy up or realize that you'll be watching this game on TV. If you want to come to the game and sit with other SU fans, it's time to get your orders in now.

If you've just now gotten the itch to join us, or increase your numbers, it's not too late... just contact me.

I'll be providing a headcount to Georgia Tech on Monday and picking up the tickets on Tuesday.
Tickets will be mailed out around Labor Day.

Hope to hear from you soon.

Go Orange!

The primary ticket ordering window has closed.
While some tickets may be available, there are no guarantees.

I'll see about tailgating parking once the tickets have been dealt with.
Others are welcome to check into this as well... remember, I'm not the tailgating coordinator.

Tickets!

are we playing the 'guess how many tickets' game?

I'll go with 118 in the top rubber band (the $43 level?)
and 205 in the bottom rubber band ($33 level)

323 total
Your stacks are reversed (more people went the pricy route). Your total count is at least 50 light.

Wow. Great work! I'm assuming this doesn't even include family and friends of team nor regular cuse fans who arent alums or forum users.

Cam Lynch will prob bring 50 by himself.

The guys from Siracusa's are organizing a bus btw.

Any thoughts on the parking situation for the game?? Best options...etc??

I was wondering the same thing. You can pre-purchase parking permits online, but the sheer number of lot choices is a bit overwhelming for the uninitiated.

Where's that online?

I found a couple links:
https://gatech.clickandpark.com/
http://events.lanierparking.com/ListLotSS.aspx?Event=10477&Product=10078

The first link seems to have better lot choices, but I can't figure out which lot would be best. I know I don't want a parking deck or garage though, since we're going to be grilling. I'm thinking maybe the OHR Lot at W04?

Here's is the breakdown of the parking at Bobby Dodd Stadium:

The Central Campus lot (listed as W24 Light Blue - on link #2) looks like a good spot. There appears to be a large grassy area directly North of the lot. It should also be a nice walk through campus to the stadium. The price is $30 per spot at this location, but will probably be one of the better tailgating locations.

All tickets* were just mailed.
You should have them by Friday-ish.

I'd appreciate it if you'd send me a PM indicating receipt.

* unless you requested delayed shipping.

Here is the link to the Georgia Tech Gameday Parking Map:

I did some research on the boards of some of the other schools and found the two areas marked below (in orange and red) as good tailgate locations. On the parking map (linked above) they are W26 and W24 -Light Blue.

W24 Central Campus - $30 http://events.lanierparking.com/ListLotSS.aspx?Event=10477&Product=10078

We should probably try making on decision on the parking lot ASAP, so that we can individually purchase the passes while there's still availability.

Agreed. Let me be the first to commit then: just locked down my permit for the W26 lot. It was $23 including fees, and gives you a printable PDF to bring with you. Now let's paint that lot orange...

Sounds like a plan.
When do the lots open?
If we could get 4-6 to enter at the same time then that should serve as our home base (tailgate central(.

The permit they sent me says 9:00 AM EDT on it, with an exit time of 11:59 PM EDT. No way I can be there that early though.

We'll have to wait with final plans until the game time is announced.
