Yeah, I said I'm in the minority. I wouldn't be shocked by late first but I'm saying second. Hope like hell I am wrong.
Edit: OH, you said I'm in the MAJORITY? I misread that, probably because in my head, I expected you to say MINORITY. I really think most people on this board are projecting him to go higher than I am. One thing that might help Lydon is I haven't heard the foreign talent pool being that amazing this year.
I don't know. We all see it differently, of course, so I just see a lot saying he won't go 1st round. Those that say he will, I probably glance over and give them an internet nod of approval. I do feel like most don't have as much confidence as I do that he will go higher than expected.
The International pool is absolutely weak this year. Plenty of draft and stash 2nd rounders, but not as many as usual that will go in the 1st round.
I would be absolutely shocked if he slips into the 2nd round. I'm no genius, that's for sure. I do pay a lot of attention to the NBA Draft. NFL as well. These days it's one of the only times I turn on that awful channel.
Sure, he could slip. I just really doubt a team hopes they can get him in the 2nd, and waits. When they can add a 6'10 stretch 4 in the 1st round. This is a PG heavy draft up top, and a solid top 10ish. But, after that it really isn't too deep and anything could happen.
His shooting at the combine was lights out. He has some body fat. Easy fix. There has to be a handful, or two of teams that love Tyler.
His defense was underrated. He protected the rim well. Rebounded well, and is an intelligent player. Not to mention more athletic than some think. His vertical, and other athleticism tests were better than I thought they would be.
He played out of position most of the time, which we all know. Scouts will see that, and realize he's worth a 1st round pick to develop into a 4 with loads of potential.
A kid who could hit over 40% from deep in the NBA, and is 6'10 is going round 1. Just my opinion. Wish it would get here already.
