Nice to see us back in the others receiving votes category. Wins over BC and Cal (I know not an easy task) should get us into the top 25.

on the flip side

B10 has only 4 teams with less than 3 losses and all are top 13
B12 has only 4 teams with less than 3 losses and are all top 23

ACC has 5 teams with less than 3 losses and we are not in top 25

Pac-12 has 1 team with less than 3 losses and they are ranked

SEC has 8 teams with less than 3 losses and all of them are ranked and Vandy with 3

so

only 1 P5 team has less than 3 losses and isnt ranked

Syracuse.

Surprised the coaches put Penn State behind Tennessee. Crazy that BYU and Indiana are in the Top 10. I didn't think SMU and Boise would jump that high.

I believe that wins and losses matter so it's crazy to me that BYU and Indiana, and heck, even Army aren't ranked higher.

Current Sagarin. Our best OOC is #38. That Stanford loss hurts, worst P4 team currently. Our SOS thus far is 63rd.

We are now 10th in the ACC, but not far from being top half of the conference (8th). Getting ahead of the Top FCS is still in play. Being 5th in the ACC (25% teams above and 75% below) is probably out of reach, as is getting 2nd in the Northeast or finishing ahead of the 2nd best G5 team.

Good for the AP dropping Notre Dame.

How in the heck does Washington have votes?

Indiana should be top 5

They have looked great this year but at the same time they haven't played a Top 40 team all year, and have only one on their entire schedule. Who is their best W? The team that Rutgers beat?

AP 25? Nah... I'm not even convinced of the top 5, throw in the whole mob. Even with the NIL, and what a load of ---- that is, this is still college football. Were there "upsets," this weekend, or were they just a matter of college ball? Maybe the NIL has contributed somewhat, but these "entanglements" have been going on since I've been around. To be honest, I haven't really put much stock in either of these polls - especially the AP - for a long time, other than at a glance. Beside all that, who would know better; coaches or sportswriters? I mean... you scratch my back, and I'll scratch yours is still in play, right? How dare I expel some flatulence in the midst of these towering, "holy" institutions? I just did.

They are dominate on both sides of the ball. They and Tennessee are the only teams top 10 in both offense and defense.
